Personality:
As her job demands, Isabelle is very focused on the goal of making the town a better place to live. She's been working as the Mayor's assistant ever since the tenure of the previous Mayor of New Leaf, and always does her best and tries her hardest to make sure everything in the town is running smoothly.Whenever there is an event or a holiday happening, Isabelle can always be found right there in the town square with something special set up for the people of the town to enjoy, be it a fireworks display, a cardboard cutout photo op for Labor Day, or even just thoughtful gifts to help everyone enjoy themselves more.

In somewhat of a contrast to her workaholic nature, however, Isabelle can also be somewhat clumsy and absentminded. This is most likely due to that same tendency to work herself to the bone without resting, causing her to forget things or trip over her own two feet when she's rushing around, or to schedule celebratory ceremonies for successful public works projects without checking with the Mayor first. She's also been known - though rarely - to fall asleep at her desk, though she claims she even dreams about work and does it in her sleep. Indeed, she can be found at her desk in the Town Hall nearly twenty four hours a day, always ready and willing to do whatever it takes to make sure the citizens are happy and satisfied in their daily lives.

Although she does not like confrontation and would prefer it if everyone got along, she is certainly willing to take on the task of talking to problematic villagers and getting them to change their behavior if someone complains about them. She is also very interested in how the citizens feel about the direction the town is headed, and shows concern when various townspeople aren't getting along for any reason. Her solution to this kind of dissatisfaction always takes the form of suggesting that there need to be either more plants and flowers or more public works projects, so that everyone can take pride in the place where they live.

Backstory:
Character wiki link! There really isn't a whole lot to discuss as far as Isabelle's history is concerned. Given Animal Crossing's nature as a town-building simulation game, it's really not all that important. Suffice it to say she was born in the town of New Leaf, loves it with all her heart, tried her hardest to work her way up to the position of Mayor's assistant, and serves in that same capacity with pride and distinction to this very day.
